Inspired by 'Lie in Our Graves' by Dave Matthews Band.
'When I step into the light
my arms are open wide.
When I step into the light
my eyes searching wildly."
My favorite song....ever.
I was lucky enough to be in the 11th row on 9.11.05 (Red Rocks) when they played it.
It's a goal of mine to give the original to Dave himself... Someday, maybe it will happen.
EDIT>>>Updated with a brand new and very much improved scan!!!
MAJOR UPDATE>>> I gave this piece to Dave on 5.31.06 at Sandstone Amphitheatre in Bonner Springs, KS. It was a spectacular moment and I will never ever forget how special it was when he motioned for me to come over so that it could be passed along by a security guard. Thank you Bama Works for the 4th row tickets, thank you DMB, and a HUGE thank you to Dave himself. You rock my world!
Thanks!!
And yeah...that song ~always~ makes me feel good. It just....I don't know. There's something about it that's very spiritual and simple. I wish more people would appreciate simplicity...
What am I talking about? haha....I'm going to start rambling. God knows you don't want that! hahaha

Wonderful! It looks like a photo! Very good photo!
You're lucky to give it to him (though I'm ashamed to tell you I don't know him... But I can imagine it.)
Thank you so VERY very much!!
This is still my favorite piece. It just holds so much meaning for me.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
